This is a repost from another blog I have, which was posted 4/3/16 in response to the opioid crisis (which we are still in). Preface: The content of this blog is based on my own opinion, experience, and research. Some of you *may* not like it, you may not agree, you may hate me afterward, I will say this, all of that is ok. I'm just starting a conversation about a topic that typically takes "a wrong turn at Albuquerque" and then is followed by a slide down the rabbit hole into the depths of ignorance. I am NOT an addiction professional, I am, however, someone who has walked this walk and can talk MY talk. Everyone's story is different but typically starts off the same.
